Basic safety tips, that we often forget!

We often take our safety for granted, especially when we’re in our own homes. But it’s important to remember that even the simplest precautions can go a long way in keeping us safe from harm. Here are a few basic safety tips to keep in mind:

1- Lock your doors and windows when you’re not home, and even if you are home, best to keep good security. This seems like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised how many people forget to do this simple thing. Make sure everything locks properly at night and during daytime hours.

2-Keep your valuables out of sight from passersby. Hiding your valuables from passersby is the best way to keep them safe. It’s always better if someone can’t see what you have in storage, especially expensive electronics or other precious items that could be targeted by criminals looking for things worth stealing! The same goes for making sure valuables left in your car are not in plain sight.

3-Park in well-lit areas, especially at night. This will deter would-be thieves from trying to break into your car or steal it outright. Plus, it’s just generally safer to see where you’re going when it’s dark out.

4-If you’re going out, tell a friend or family member where you’re going and when you’ll be back. This way, if something happens to you, they’ll know where to start looking for you.

5- Be aware of your surroundings – don’t walk around with headphones on or looking at your phone. This makes you an easy target for criminals, as they can approach you without you even realizing it. So stay alert and be aware of who and what is around you.

6- Use common sense: Common sense can be rather uncommon these days, but it’s important to use your gut feeling when something doesn’t feel right. If you have an intuitive reaction against someone or some place–trust yourself and get out of there! It may save both time and trouble in the long run by following what makes sense for YOU instead; don’t let other people make decisions for you.

By following these simple tips, we can all help keep ourselves safe from harm. So let’s make a conscious effort to do so, and spread the word to others as well. Together, we can make our world a safer place for everyone.
